Vice President - Technical Director
Ralph E. Lewis has excelled as a research specialist in the mining and oil and gas industries since 1976.
He is the author of numerous technical papers and articles on oilfield economics and bunker fuel quality issues.

Lewis left Shell Oil Company to join Power Research Inc. in 1985, where, as Research and Technical Director, he has applied his knowledge and expertise toward the development of the revolutionary PRI products.

Power Research Inc. manufactures and markets a revolutionary line of chemical fuel treatments. Since 1985 we have developed proprietary products based on our exclusive thermal stability technologies.

Our first clients, primarily mid-sized, industrial marine vessels, embraced PRI fuel treatments to improve operational reliability in the very challenging waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Our core formulas were then designed for the consumer market, primarily for recreational boaters and RV enthusiasts.

In 1992, PRI-RS heavy fuel oil chemistry made its debut demonstration on a California based container vessel, showing dramatic reductions in post combustion deposits. Later that year, on a second container ship, the value of PRI was again verified through a comprehensive emissions study following California Air Resources Board (CARB) protocols. We received documented proof that PRI chemistry significantly reduces emissions from an ocean going vessel.

Since that time, Power Research Inc. has continued to take a highly flexible and aggressive evolutionary approach in technological development. Our PRI innovative culture provides on-time solutions to the dramatic challenges of today's fuel oil, addressing fuel performance and emissions control.

Our products provide tangible PRI benefits - a heightened level of vessel performance, and verifiable increases in fleet profitability.

Through innovation and proactive leadership, Power Research Inc. is now recognized as the fuel solutions standard bearer for the international maritime industry.
